Quick Review: L'Oreal Lumi Cushion Foundation Compact in 03 Creamy Natural

Meh. Just meh. I wanted to love this and part of me does, but overall I'm just underwhelmed.

At $16.95 for 0.51 oz. I can't help but think L'Oreal is cashing in on the cushion compact craze hitting stateside (even though they've been available for years across the pond). It's not like this is some earth-shattering innovation in base makeup. But anyway, cost aside, let's look at the product itself.
It's a thin, comfortable formula that offers light coverage powerful enough to handle minor discoloration and slightly enlarged pores. It's very comfortable and has a lightweight second-skin look and feel. The 'luminosity' comes off as looking slightly greasy instead of dewy which, personally, is pretty off-putting. Without primer it lasts a disappointing 5 hours (less with moderate exercise or activity), and primer only adds a little over an hour. It's worth noting the foundation applies nearly three shades lighter than it appears in the compact.
On the whole, it's not a bad foundation, but it's far from being worth the expensive-for-drugstore price, especially for the amount of product you get. It's a nice introduction to cushion compact foundations, but it needs a hell of a lot of work.
